8 Steps To Clean Espresso Machines

As such, one of the best ways to take good care of an espresso machine is to know how to clean it accordingly. To help you out, here are some tips to help you clean your espresso machine.

1ST Step

The very first thing to do is to get a clean cloth run under hot water and wipe off your steam wands. Try to get off any milk onto the wand that has been scorched. If you can unscrew the tip of the wand, you can take it off as well and clean it.

2nd Step

Get a small bucket with hot water and add a solution cleaner for espresso machine and soak the parts you took off overnight.

3rd Step

Take off the group handle and use a screwdriver to take off the filter basket. Clean them with soap and water then put them in the bucket of solution, soak them overnight.

4th Step

Place the blind filter into the group handle and add ½ teaspoon of commercial espresso machine cleaner.

5th Step

Turn off the espresso machine and let the steam wands be open in order to release the pressure of the machine. Leave them overnight.

6th Step

Clean the shower heads.

7th Step

Pull the gratings and drain it. Clean the drip tray and leave it overnight to dry out.

8th Step

Using paper towels, clean your espresso machine to dry and make it shiny.
